In 1978, Hossain Esmaeili (Steve), started installing flooring, carpeting, and tile in the Northern Virginia area. He opened a retail store, in 1983, in Burke Virginia.  The Store had carpeting, wood flooring, ceramic tile and installer's to serve the area.

In 1990, he sold his business in Burke and moved to a bigger facility, in the Lorton, Virginia area. This building was also a retail flooring store.

In 1998 Hossain, with the help of Vice President, Bruce Cody, opened the wholesales Distribution warehouse in the came convenient Lorton, Virginia location. The facility provides wood flooring, moulding, stair treads, and flooring hardware. The warehouse serves local contractors, with hours that are convenient to them, 8 AM to 7 PM Monday through Friday, and deliveries throughout the Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., and the Maryland area. There are experienced personnel to answer any question you may have on flooring needs.

Indiana Floor has grown because of continued customer support. We are now planning a new warehouse, on land in the Fredericksburg area, on Indiana Street. The warehouse will be built in the near future.
